David Dawson

Is a fifth generation Anglo/Australian, being the great-great grandson of an English migrant, who arrived in Australia by boat in 1850.

He was a career Public Servant with 35 years’ service, having worked in management, administration, retail, workplace safety and industrial relations.

Worked in many and varied workplaces, some of significant cultural diversity. Employment activities covered policy development, strategic planning, and case work and employee/employer liaison.

Since retiring has been active in community organisations, particularly organisations focussed on supporting and promoting the ideals of multiculturalism. Retains a keen interest in political activism, current affairs and social change, as well as observing the impact history has on existing and future social development and political events and outcomes.
